The Speed You Need.

The Capo Rosa Speed jersey returns this year with a few notable upgrades. This lightweight summer jersey was made in our likeness, so we hold it near and dear. We would say this is the best jersey on Planet Earth, but we may be a little biased. The Rosa Speed combines high-performance fabrics and styling in a way that only the Italians can.

For the construction of the Rosa, Capo used its Micro Quattro fabric for its airy composition and low overall weight. This material breathes better than most nylon/Lycra blends, and it rapidly transfers moisture away from your skin to its quick-drying outer-layer. Combined with these lightweight and thermo-regulating properties, Micro Quattro also stretches in order to wrap and support your upper body and arm muscles while in the cycling position. The fabric also provides both UV and antibacterial protection. Speed microfiber was used for the sleeve panels. This advanced, channeled fabric offers a unique combination of aerodynamics, rapid moisture transfer, and a high degree of form-fitting comfort and stretch. To increase airflow under the arms, Capo applied its lightweight and breathable V-Mesh.

Capo placed an equal focus on implementing lightweight technical fabrics into the Rosa as it did refining the jersey's fit. The goal of the Rosa was to create a streamlined jersey with both a maximum freedom of movement and the most breathable, lightweight materials available. This anatomical fit was made possible using pre-shaped fabric panels that closely follow the body while in motion. When sewn together, these panels form somewhat of a three dimensional shape on their own, mimicking the body before even reaching your shoulders. The result is a jersey that eliminates all unnecessary material, leading to the best fit possible.

As with all of Capo's jerseys, the Rosa's full-length zipper is lockable. In its flipped upright position, the jersey is able to be pulled apart with one hand. Simply flip the zipper down, and it locks. This makes opening yourself up for ventilation a safe, single-handed affair while riding. The locking zipper is indeed a tiny detail, but once you discover how easy it is to use, you'll never want to ride without one. Three generous back pockets provide plenty of room for tools, snacks, or any other essentials that you might need for your ride. Additionally, a silicone-treated hem keeps the jersey in place when the pockets are loaded.

Capo Rosa Jersey

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Quality and construction is good. Zipper is larger than most other companies, tends to get caught from time to time high up on the collar, and at the very bottom. Arms, and chest fit great, but length is a little short for my height, but a M would be too baggy for sure. Seems like this jersey may run a little shorter than other Capo jerseys I have used in the past. Overall an awesome high quality jersey.

Seems like a ladies jersey to me

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

This jersey did not live up to my expectations from Capo. I have a short torso and this jersey is even shorter. It lays above the top waist part of the bibs. No one wants to see my belly button. Also, the zipper is on the left. Does that mean it's a ladies jersey??? I didn't notice these problems before I washed the jersey and matching bibs. Very unhappy!

Capo Rosa Speed Jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Large

Overall a solid piece, but I have a few gripes. The jersey had a little more room than I would like, but the front is very short. I found myself having to pull the front down at stops to not have it rising up above my bibs.

I ordered the matching bibs and the kit is clean, overall a good buy for the price!
