Nice shorts

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

So far I like these shorts. Wide leg bands work well on me-the waist band is similar to the Terry Bella shorts. I have a tiny waist-flat tight stomach -kinda big booty and thighs. These shorts stay put on me no problem. The chamois is not bulky or thick which I also like-if you need a lot of padding this is not the short for you. The printed logo is coming off-I have worn them at least 4 times-this does not bother me. I take small in Terry-these I got a medium. Like the compression. These seem like a quality short to me.

Chamois- Capo Bacio

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

After reading other comments on the logo falling off, I thought this was the reason for the great price. I could care less about a logo, I ride for the exercise not for how cool I look. After an 18hr bike ride the chaffing was immediate. The Chamois does not protect against moisture, Further the waist line is perfect so long as your standing or upright on your bike. However, riding tucked over or bent over, the waist band rolls and is very uncomfortable. I had to keep pulling them up.

Logo Falling Apart Right Away

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift

Bought this for my girlfriend. We had just taken them out of the bag and already the logo peeled off. Apparently it was just a piece of tape? The shorts themselves seems to be good quality but the lack of fit an finish was a reason for an immediate return.

I can't comment on other capo shorts, but this for particular model the side and back panels are the logo (i.e. if the logo comes off so does that whole part of the short). The only logo that might peel off is the one inside the short that is above the washing instructions. Maybe it's another model ?

That's right, the item we received looks different from the picture. It does not have that sewn-on panel. Also the logo was entirely white. It was definitely just some tape glued on to the outside of the pants. This might have been last year's model as we bought the pants on sale.

Don't forget B.C.'s great return policy...if these shorts are defective, you certainly can get a refund/exchange; it's a option.

I was so happy with the pair I ordered in the summer I ordered another pair just recently - and so I wanted to comment again on setp33098's review - it seems they did change the design (this current version is on the CAPO website now)- and not for the better - the shorts fit differently- but not in a nice way - didn't wait to see if the logo would peel off - had to return these as they looked and felt horrible - CAPO - bring back the original design.

Great fit

I am petite and have a tough time finding shorts that fit, and provide good support- these fit the bill. They fit nicely, have great support, are comfy and look great too! These are my first capo shorts but won't be my last.

Awesome

I'm on the smaller side - 5'4 130lbs, and these shorts fit me great! Unlike a lot of shorts, they don't bunch up and chafe in the crotch and provide butt padding where I ACTUALLY need it. Yay for smaller fits!

I'm considering these, too; have you tried the matching Capo jersey yet? Wondering about fit, etc.
I'll check back...

Got both the long and short sleeve jersey - the short sleeve fits nicely, material is great. Got the longer sleeve in the same size, but it is too snug around the neck when the jersey is zipped, so I will try a size up and se how that goes.

What's the difference between the above...

Just now saw your question (5/8/13); saw these on competitivecyclist.com (realcyclist isn't anylonger)...anyway, they look and sound like the same product. Maybe there was a different offering last year...ever found out? Try Giordana, too, the FR-C line is fantastic; the whole line-up is really-really nice!
