Fully loaded and rearing to go.

Camelbak's Rim Runner 22 has become a classic among the day hiker/mountain biker crowd, and for good reason. An Air Channel back panel provides soft mesh and numerous air channels that you can rely on during the most strenuous and sweat-inducing aerobic activity. Got gear? Not to worry: an essential organizer pocket, two side pockets, and multiple tool attachments equate to a backpack that has not only got your thirst covered, but your active essentials too. If you can't fit it into the Rim Runner, then you should probably rethink the word "essential." Whether hiking, climbing, or biking, the three-liter Antidote reservoir and extra storage space (ideal for extra water containers) have got your thirst under control for a full day of hydrated freedom. DWR and PU-coated nylon can withstand rain and wind just as long as you can, allowing you to ignore weather and get back to enjoying your day. If the Rim Runner seems a bit bulky for you with just the reservoir and a few items, then utilize the four-point compression system to shrink your pack down to an ideal and manageable size.

Season after season, CamelBak's super scientists have been hard at work refining and perfecting the Antidote reservoir, the industry's most popular solution to hydration. At the turn of a cap (a quarter turn to be exact), you can open or close the reservoir, refilling and securing it again in seconds. Center baffling and a sleek design prevent your water from jostling about inside your pack while running, hiking, or hitting the park. When not off exploring the world, simply disconnect the tube using the Quick Link System and hang up the Antidote for proper drying or storage. Since last year, CamelBak's go-to reservoir system has actually lost some weight, reducing bulk in the fill port and offering you that much more convenience. Dehydration can be serious business; so, when you're ready to get serious, get yourself a dose of this Antidote.

Stood the test of time

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My cloudburst finally bust after almost 8 years of abuse. This looked to be the closest replacement and absolutely love the color scheme. The compression straps expand and compress and and every load I throw at it. Camelbak packs have definitely made a place in my book.

Great Pack

Perfect mix of features for long day hikes. The larger reservoir is a plus and the Air Channel is a nice upgrade over my last Camelback.

Camelbak review

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The camelbak works great. It has a good storage space, and holds plenty of water, and fits good on your back.
