Item # CAM003T

Singletrack savior.

You can bring everything you need on that afternoon ride that you have planned with the CamelBak Mule Hydration Pack. The Mule has room for a short day's worth of gear and three liters of water, which should get you about three hours up the trail on a really hot day. The Mule also has CamelBak's XV back panel with air channels to keep you cool, a removable waist belt, and overflow storage in case you need to bring the kitchen sink.

The Antidote reservoir includes a lightweight, quick-seal cap, folding arms on the port to aid drying, and baffles in the body that allow the reservoir to maintain a lower profile. The Quick Link system in the reservoir allows you to quickly snap off the tube for cleaning and easily attach accessories like filters, flow meters, and insulated tubes.

The ample main compartment and multiple exterior pockets hold your tools, spare tubes, and an extra layer, while the waist belt with cargo pockets keeps the pack from bouncing around as you cruise through berms and bumps. HydroGuard antimicrobial technology inhibits bacterial growth on reservoir and tube surfaces, and the Ergo Hydrolock shut-off valve allows you to control water flow and prevents leaks.

Perfect Size

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am an avid Mtn Biker. I have another camelback which is smaller and just cant hold enough stuff especially if I am going for a long day. The MULE is a really good size. You can put your spare tube, which with a 29 is a good size and your tool and cartridges, a small bottle of Stanz, well you get the idea. Also, when you want to throw in a light jacket there is room. Glad I bout it, And the magnetic clip for the spout is really clever. Good job on this product.

Unanswered Question

Is that item can put the bicycle helmet from camelbak? Yes or no. Please answer that quickly.

I've had mine for just shy of 3 years and I love it. It's weathered many 10-15 milers and sub zero temperatures. Surprisingly, none of the fabric has ripped and the back padding has also held up extremely well. It's also become a travel pack (even if I don't plan to hike). It holds a significant amount of stuff relative to its size.

Great Pack for day hikes

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this as a gift for my cousin who was tired of carrying water bottles around every hike he went on. He Loves how lightweight this bag is and how it comes with the 3L reservoir, while still having enough room to store some snacks and his phone. If you're looking for a super lightweight pack for day hikes I would recommend going with this pack. If you're looking for a pack that can store a lot of gear with a lot of pockets you may want to consider going with something a bit bigger.

Gave as a gift

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I gave this to my dad as a birthday gift. He loves the easy access to water that the pack provides. This pack can hold a lot of gear for its size, so it is great for all-day hikes.

New upgrade...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The little guy just upgraded from the Mini Mule to the Mule. Plenty of room for a jacket, bathing suit, food, rocks, sticks, bugs....and anything else a little 6yr old may pick up along the way.

This pack is new to him but we have other 'Mules' in the family that have been put through the ringer. Despite my youngins little size, we were able to easily adjust the pack to fit his frame.

Holds everything I need and more

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Plenty of storage, light weight and build to last. This thing is a pack mule.

I am pleased with my pack every time I hit the trail. The pack is snug and keeps from moving around, even on the steepest descents. It has plenty of storage and organization for tools, bars, and maps.

With 3L of water I can ride for a couple of hours without having to refuel. Or toss a water bottle on the outside storage of the pack.

The main compartment and the outside pocket are both big enough to hold a light weight jacket for if it cools off or starts raining. The top pocket is perfect to hold a cell phone or sun glasses.

I have the previous years pack and it does not have the side pocket along the waist. This looks like an improved feature that I wish had come on my pack.

I am 5'8, 135 lbs and have plenty of room left for sizing.

Overall I love this pack. Not too big or bulky. Holds everything I need! Thanks CamelBak!
