Everything you need—nothing you don't.

You don't necessarily need to carry a ton of gear to head out on a long ride when there's no threat of bad weather. With nutrition bars providing plenty of energy and tubeless tires providing whole seasons of no-flat riding, you pretty much need a phone, a multi-tool, and an energy bar. Coincidentally, that's just about exactly what the Camelbak Lobo Hydration Backpack has room to carry. Well, that and three-plus hours of water.

The first thing you notice when you see the Lobo is its narrow profile. There isn't a whole lot of pack swinging around behind you. Not only is that good for weight savings, but it's also less cumbersome. It also features an XV back panel with EVA pods that cushion and promote airflow to keep you cool and comfy. The Antidote reservoir includes a lightweight, quick-seal cap, folding arms on the port to aid drying, and baffles in the body that allow the reservoir to maintain a low profile.

The Quick Link system in the reservoir allows you to quickly snap off the tube for cleaning and to easily attach accessories like filters, flow meters, and insulated tubes. Front accessory pockets give you room to stash your keys, phone, sunglasses, and other small items, and the removable waist belt prevents the pack from swinging around and throwing you off-balance when you're bombing downhill.

First Camelbak

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this for a friend who is newer to mountain biking and wanted a Camelbak. Here is his review:

"I just got the new CamelBak Lobo and I love it. It’s very light weight and comfortable but still had plenty of room to carry everything I needed. I was on a short ride but I could have packed a lot more if I had been on a longer ride.
I wasn’t sure what to think about the Quick Link system, but found it very convenient. The magnetic snap action was very well designed. It was very easy to use during my ride, I was extremely impressed."

2 liter or 3 liter?

CamelBak site says 3.

This says includes 2L Antidote reservoir.

Hey Craig,

This should include a 3L Antidote reservoir. Let me know if you have an other questions or would like to set up an order.
