We're big fans of Mineral Oil due not only to its environmental friendliness, but its performance as well. While mineral oil's use in the world of hydraulic disc brakes is nothing new, Brake Force One's unique and innovative approach makes disc brakes easier to use and maintain.
Brake fluid does break down over time, and will become contaminated with degrading rubber, moisture, and dirt over time. If you've had the chance to witness a bleed or done one yourself on used brakes, the fluid that comes out is a nasty shade of black -- no longer a light gold or clear color. You can't see it going bad inside of the closed system of disc brakes.
Until now, disc brake lines have all been opaque. BFO's lines are clear so you can see air bubbles in the line as you bleed the brakes -- simplifying the process and ensuring a firm lever the first time out. This also means you can keep an eye on the condition of your hydraulic fluid as it ages.
Brake Force One Mineral Oil is available in 100ml or 500ml containers and seven colors; Blue, Orange, Green, Yellow, Black, Red, and Clear.
