Blackburn Switchback Cage $14.95
When your large water bottle isn’t empty while you crest the mountain gap, you’ll know why you got the Blackburn Switchback. Its burly but light steel construction holds larger bottles when your route takes you up and over serious inclines. At just 2oz, the extra water will be well worth the weight.

My favorite bottle cage for road use
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Jim Blackburn started out in 1977 in Santa Cruz CA making aluminum bike racks and soon his classic aluminum bottle cages. They still have not been surpassed (though often copied). Blackburn is now part of the Easton/Giro group.
PROS: 1. This Switchback cage is strong! Made from 5mm gauge stainless-steel. 2. Bottles glide in smoothly. 3. Yet the design grips really well (esp in road use). 4. The design will not scrape and mar your bottles.
Strong yet light, unbreakable, high functional, affordable. The classic for a reason.
Bottle cages are all about the same to me light enough and strong enough for me good material construction. nice
