Worthy of its heritage.

The word “sempre” in the Bianchi Sempre Pro Carbon Road Bike Frameset’s name translates into always, and we’re inclined to think that it’s fitting. That’s because the Sempre Pro draws on almost 150 years of Italian heritage, as well as the very best of modern composite engineering, and the result is a bike that’s ready for anything. So whether your aims are racing, training, or riding with friends, the Sempre is a worthy partner, regardless of the pursuit.

Bianchi opted to employ monocoque construction, which means that the Sempre Pro’s carbon fiber frame is molded as one piece. The use of monocoque construction allowed Bianchi complete control in developing the Sempre. From the geometry, to the tube shaping, to the layup, each factor is able to be optimized, without compromises.

It's been made stronger through the use of Carbon NanoTube technology. This process involves adding nano-scaled particles to the resin. By doing so, the particles reduce the microscopic gaps between the resin and the fibers of the carbon. Ultimately, this increases the strength and fracture-resistance by 49% compared to using standard epoxy resin systems. Additionally, because this additive reduces the amount of material needed, it enabled Bianchi to build a frame with a smoother ride, in addition to the obvious benefits of lightness. Since the chainstays are oversized, the Ultra Thin Seat Stays (or UTSS for short) serve to balance the load firmly, yet lightly, maximizing the vibration damping. And that means greater comfort over a variety of road surfaces.

Moving to the front of the Sempre, the tapered, full carbon fiber B4B fork’s straight blade design cuts through the wind, while providing predictable and nimble handling. And as with the previous version, the Sempre features a tapered carbon head tube. The 1-1/8 x 1-1/2in design bolsters the front triangle's rigidity, but it also creates a purposeful surface design that increases laminar flow over the bike. Complementing this is the Sempre’s internal cable routing, which is compatible with both electronic and mechanical shift systems. To further enhance stiffness, and in turn efficiency, the Sempre employs a PressFit 30 bottom bracket shell, which maximizes rigidity by providing more contact with both the down tube and oversized chainstays.

The Bianchi Sempre Pro Carbon Road Bike Frameset is available in six sizes, from 50cm to 61cm, and in the colors Carbon/black and Black/celeste.

  • Monocoque carbon fiber construction
  • Straight-blade carbon fiber fork with tapered steerer
  • Internal routing is compatible with mechanical and electronic drivetrains

Here's what others have to say...

Bianchi Sempre Pro

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

The frame is outstanding and fits right in next to my Bianchi Oltre XR.1. I put the Campagnolo Bullet wheels with the Super Record groupset. Accelerates with no hesitation, handles the climbs and downhoills well and absorbs all road vibration. Highly recommend the frame. Delivery time was outstanding for this frame set and customer service was top notch.

Unanswered Question

Will 25mm and 28mm tires fir on this frame?

Im riding a cannondale size is 50 what is my size for the sempre pro? Do u still have the carbon black in stock? Thanks.

Responded on

HI Alvin

It will depend. What cannondale are you on? We don't have the smaller sizes in carbon/black but I would be happy to check into one for you. I could use a little more information from you. Could you chat with me from the site or email me?

Is this frame Italian made. Tks in advance

Responded on

No. Very few frames are made outside of Asia.

Is this frame compatible with Campagnolo Super Record EPS V.2. Can the battery be mounted internally (without having to drill extra holes or does it have to be mounted externally?

Responded on

This does have the hole drilled for the internal battery.

Is the Sempre Pro Di2 compatible?

Responded on

Thanks for the question. The Sempre is actually designed for internal Di2 routing or mechanical shifting. If you?re interested in building one up or the best pricing on a frame or build, give me a shout and I would be happy to help you out.

Oltre been top of the line where the sempre pro fit in ? Can it be a good road racer , climber , every day bike etc ? Thank you

Responded on

Thanks for the question. The Sempre is a step down from the Oltre, but maybe not a full step. It’s designed as more of an all-day bike and because of that, you don’t want the stiffness associated with the highest levels of carbon used on the Oltre. I’d list this as a top end classics bike and a the Oltre as a road race/crit bike.

Give me a shout if you are interested in an order and I can see if I can any better on the pricing.

For the naked carbon / black frame, does bianchi use paint or decals?

Responded on

The Sempre actually uses a combination of both paint decals. The under colors are paint and the names/writing/ details are decals. Let me know if you are ready to enter an order or have other questions.

Wonderfully predictable

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I came to the Sempre Pro almost entirely by accident, after years of riding more aero oriented frames, and was actually quite skeptical that it would meet my needs in terms of responsiveness and acceleration on the flats. I thought that a Bianchi would be delightfully predictable if not boring. What I have found, on everything from sprints to KOM Strava segments, is that this bike just delivers. It eats up the road with a refined ride that I have only ever experienced on the R3-SL, it climbs with natural aplomb, and much to my surprise, it will spring to action with the first kick of a sprint effort. The bottom bracket is higher than my previous rides, which makes you feel both taller but also more in control. Ascend and Descend like it's your job. Buy it with an electronic gruppo, and you will find a very well designed, responsive, stiff, and dare I say regal ride worthy of a pro tour attack or (more likely) a solo rouleur effort. I wanted to be skeptical of a legacy brand, and what I have found is that Bianchi delivered a PRO-worthy frame. Go for black on black, and thank Competitive Cyclist later.
