Watts Helmet - Pro Model

Bern designed the Watts as the successor to the Baker model. Already a legend among skiers, snowboarders, and bikers, the overwhelming demand was for a Baker with vents. Thus, the Watts was born. It's the original visor helmet with vents.

Bern designed the Watts using its ThinShell technology for lightweight durability. By using high-impact EPS foam, Bern was able to thin the shell material to reduce weight without negatively impacting the helmet's strength. It also added large vents that force fresh air to move through the helmet to make it more comfortable.

As with all of Bern's helmets, the Watts has a deep, surround-style fit. This provides much more protection than the sit-on-top style of most cycling helmets. Individual fit is controlled by an internal 'micro-adjust' that allows you to dial in the perfect custom fit for your head.

The Bern Watts Pro Model is available in two color schemes, each with its own story.

The first, the Matte Grey 1000bikes.org model, supports 1000bikes.org, a site dedicated to giving 1000 bikes to foster youth across America. 1000bikes.org is a cycling advocacy group that intends to get more people riding bikes in a fun, safe manner by educating people on bike and helmet safety. 7% of the sales of this helmet goes to 1000bikes.org.

The second, the Matte Black Souphorse model, honors Billy 'Souphorse' Sinkford, who after 10 years as a bike messenger, is now spreading his talents; dividing his time between racing, running the Spacebook for Mission Workshop, working with Levi's Commuter, or directing operations for Pedalr.
