In designing the Aqua NO Jacket, Bellwether used its extremely effective, if purely utilitarian, Stormfront Jacket as a base platform and added a few extra details for better ventilation, additional storage options, and even more protection.
The Aqua NO is made from fabric of the same name. It strikes a neat balance between the PVC rain capes of yore and the current trend of water-resistant jerseys: waterproof and windproof but still breathable and not shaped like a wind-catching sail. The elements stay outside and, if the protection proves too thorough, the fabric's breathability helps regulate your micro-climate's humidity. Bellwether has also added a rear vent flap and zippered chest vents to help with this.
The Aqua NO's primary job is protection, though, and the waterproof front zipper means that there are no weak spots to compromise its seam-sealed construction. The openings do their part, too, with hook-and-loop straps at the cuffs and adjustable cords at the waist and fleece-lined collar. The single rear pocket is big enough to carry additional gear for your head and hands when the weather takes an inevitable turn for the worse. The extra-long tail stows when you don't need it or drops down for extra protection from weather elements, and reflective accents help protect you from human elements by keeping you visible in low-light conditions.
