If you look closely, under all that enduro-influenced design, you can see Bell's mid-century motorsport heritage in the Super Helmet. Subtly paying homage to a time when engines were restricted by their creator's ability and leather protective gear was quickly abandoned in favor of the much safer hard-shell Bell option.

And, just like that early protective headgear, the Super Helmet is intended to be fully compatible with goggles. A GoggleGuide permits you to easily manage eyewear regardless if you've opted for the safety of goggles on race day or sunglasses for a friendly post-work session with the crew. Included retention arms securely hold straps -- with or without the removable visor installed.

Unlike those first Bell helmets, on the other hand, the Super Helmets in-Mold construction is a far cry from the weighty and hot fiberglass buckets of yesteryear. A polycarbonate Microshell is bonded to an EPS foam liner during manufacturing that creates a super-strong overall structure. Internal reinforcements also allow Bell's designers to push the envelope of ventilation with numerous large intake and exhaust ports (25 to be exact).

If you'd like some more cold, hard data, the Super Helmet meets or exceeds both CE EN1078 and CPSC Bicycle safety standards. There are three sizes available; Large, Medium, and Small, with Bell's simple-to-adjust Speed Dial fit system used to comfortably and securely hold the Super in place. Against your skin, X-Static padding combines a quick-dry, soft surface with an anti-microbial coating to keep the Super smelling fresh ride after ride.

Lightweight Cam-lock Levers ensure quick and effortless fit adjustments, and its lightweight buckle is easy to release after an exhausting ride. Bringing the Super Helmet completely into the twenty-first century is an integrated camera mount. Now you can forgo cable ties and tape for POV recording. Bell offers the Super Helmet comes in multiple color options, including registered graphics.

Great so far

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just got the helmet and I used it on a few runs and it felt great! Light weight, vented very well and kept the sweat out of my eyes which was a huge bonus for me. Quality seems good but we'll see how it holds up. I was gonna wait for the super 2 full face but i decided to bite the bullet on this 'older' model and I think I made a good decision.

hat head

done with a muddy ride and i love the extra coverage this helmet offers. The way the temple area of the helmets is kinda makes for some interference with while wearing sunnies.

hat head

Umm your face, yeah, you got a little somethin on there...

Great helmet

Fits snug and comfortable with room for sunglasses. Nice and cool on hot days and feels a lot more protective than the standard bike helmet.

Best Enduro Helmet Out There

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This helmet is perfect. It fits my head like a glove and provides solid protection all around my precious noggin. It doesn't look bulky at all like some helmets do. The Go Pro mount is removable if you aren't into that sort of thing (I'm not). My favorite feature of this helmet is that the visor is large enough to provide actual sun protection which is great for these long climbs in Park City and Moab. On the way down if the visor is getting in the way of how far ahead on the trail you can look, you can push it up completely out of your way with one hand. It might look a little silly but who cares? Sunglasses can sometimes get a little uncomfortable under this helmet due to how far down the sides of the helmet come but this is pretty rare. All in all I am very impressed with this helmet and would definitely recommend this to everyone.

do you ship to Guam, USA ?

do you ship to Guam, USA ?

Best Answer

Hey Aure,

I can see how the international policies can be a little confusing especially with US Territories like your home. But I double checked and Guam should be treated the same as Alaska and Hawaii as far as shipping goes, its just going to be a little more expensive to ship than shipping to the main land. Thanks for checking Brotha from Anatha Motha'Land!

Does more than just getting the job done

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It is very comfortable on long rides and I have noticed less sweat over my eye's than my last helmet. I already tested its protectiveness (by accident). I slipped on a wet wood bridge and hit my temple area, hit it pretty hard (it hurt), left only with a small bruise, but the fall could have sent me to the ER (I think). So just to say the helmet stayed in place and will protect you like it should.

A Safe Bet.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this helmet as my daily driver XC lid. Light enough and vented enough for long days in the saddle with extended coverage for confidence when riding aggressively.

I doubt I will ever use the GoPro mount, goggle guides, or flip up visor but they all seem engineered well for the guy who wants them. If I am doing any riding worth filming or needing goggles, I am always using my full face helmet anyways. The flip up visor works really well though and I wish ski helmets had this feature.

The Speed Dial fit system works perfectly one handed. I like to put it on loose so it doesn't push down my sweat band and then I dial it in tight once it's on.

Sizing guide is accurate. I measure 57 and the medium fits well.

There is enough room to slide sunglass arms under the helmet comfortably.

Buy this helmet now if you are looking for the most protection short of a full face.

Sweet Helmet

My son absolutely loves this helmet. It is very comfortable and easy to adjust. The Go Pro mount is a nice feature. We will never use it, but it is a nice feature. It does come off quite easily! I highly recommend this helmet. Given the time that I retire my current helmet, I will pick one of these up myself.

can the camera mount be removed easily?

It is held in by velco straps. Went to local bike shop at lunch and did just this. Removed it and tried on helmet. Piece o cake.
