Here's what others have to say...

These brakes are amazing...definitely agree with Tony about the grabbing for life. The adjustable grip allows for great control.
If you can afford the Carbon, go for the Ultimate Series...But i think you will be more than happy with what the 7's provide.

Great brakes worth the price

Put these on my bike after my mechanical disc brakes got destroyed by the northwest mud. These are great. Need one figure to use them, work just fine no matter what condition, easy to mount and adjust. I'm a huge fan.

first off, these brakes rule. buttery modulation, very little squeak (after break in) and great stoppers - i am a fatso. my only complaint is the bleed kit is expensive. oh, and i wish they still made silver so my front and rear would match.

Sweet, merciful brakes.

I usually end up grabbing these things like they are the last thing I am ever going to grab. Somehow, Avid has made it so that when I do that, I do not end up dying. When I am not panicked, there is good modulation, and lots of power to bring my stupid self to a safe stop. Gotta love that.

does this kit come with both front and...

does this kit come with both front and back disk breaks?

You can buy either the front or the rear brake, but they are separate.

very very nice

These brakes are really nice. the 7s are very adjustable and very easy to bleed. The modulation is great. The only bad part about them is changing the pads. Avid fixed the pad replacement on the Elixrs though. These are really awesome brakes for XC particularly if you are really picky about how your brakes are set up.
