Attaquer's core essential.

We'd never describe anything Attaquer designs as run-of-the-mill, or even standard, but the Australian label does have a lineup that's more subdued than its flashier options. Called the CORE collection, this line features solid color silhouettes that are available as standalone, jersey and bib shorts, items.

Similar to all of Attaquer's kits, the CORE Bib Shorts are made in Italy from Italian-sourced fabrics. And just like the rest of its apparel, the fit is on point. This means that the conforming fit will eliminate any pulling, chafing, or general discomfort while you're in the saddle. And given that these Aussie designs were hatched below the equator, the fabrics provide 50+ High UV protection in order to combat a scorching sun.

For the shorts' chamois — the make-or-break for any kit worth its weight in Lycra — it's also Italian, and it features a triple density design that's meant to draw pressure away from the perinea region. In other words, you'll find more support and substance at the sit bones, keeping pressure off of your soft tissue. The insert was also designed to dissipate heat via perforation, and friction is nearly eliminated through the incorporation of smooth Italian microfiber.

The Attaquer CORE Bib Shorts - Men's are available in the color Black, and they come in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large.

  • Subtle styling
  • Italian-made, Italian-sourced
  • Exceptional fit
  • UPF 50+

Unanswered Question

are the fit of these bibs the same as those that are sold in their matching kits? a review states they are oddly sized but i own the bird watching and heat map kits and the bibs of those kits both fit me perfectly! [5'11", 38' chest, 31" waist, 167 lb]

Sizing is Challenging...

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I'm 6'1", 172lbs, 2-3% body fat, 31" waist w/ 40" chest, 35" inseam. Have been eying Attaquer for the longest time and decided to order some kit....that was immediately returned and here's why:

Size L:

Really simple, couldn't pull them past about 3" north of my knees. Didn't want to damage them from pulling too hard so back in the bag.

Size XL:

Got them on and in the proper position, had a lot of extra pad sticking out the back while standing and in crouched bike position. Compression fabric was great however the area over my man parts was just uncomfortable, no matter how I tried to adjust the parts they would not find a happy place while standing or crouched. The shoulder straps were to short for an XL, period. One last item on these, I have a really long inseam and for the shorts to go all the way down to the lateral head of my quad was too long for me. Back in the baggie they went.

I don't hate you Attaquer/Competitive Cyclist, still much love however I can find no love in the FIT of this apparel line. Keep making awesome print designs Attaquer!

@ Collin, rechecked my bodyfat, little closer to 2% this week.

Sizing is Challenging...

Totally agree. Ordered a norm core kit a while back and couldn't dial in the fit.

Might want to re-check that body fat %...
Their kits are cut for slim riders and they make no bones about this. I'm 5'10" 157lbs and I'm borderline able to fit a medium. Also, it seems more than a few manufacturers are extending the length of their bib shorts for one reason or another. Muscle compression, etc.

You are a lean dude, but I'm not sure what method you're using. 2% is generally regarded as being dead. Pro body builders go on stage at around 4-5 after lots of...supplements, but are usually around 6-8 normally
