A glove for the season.

There is no shortage of reasons to wear long-fingered gloves in every season. After all, when it's 50 degrees and above, you don't need the warmth, but the hand protection is priceless. So, when lightweight, skin-saving grip is a necessity for a cool summer ride, slip on the Assos longSummerGloves.

Make no mistake, the Assos longSummerGloves are built for warm-weather usage. Although they offer a minimal amount of insulation, you're better off wearing these while descending the Col du Galibier in July than short-fingered gloves. The upper hand fabric is made from an ultralight micro-mesh -- lighter, in fact, than what Assos uses on its short-finger summer gloves. For the palms, the longSummerGloves are identical to the summerGloves, with strategically placed, vibration-killing padding to prevent your hands from going numb during a long ride. The bottom side of the fingers have the same moderately-thick mesh used on the non-padded sections of the palm. So, if you hit the deck, the pavement will need to burn through the mesh before getting to your skin. A little protection goes a long way.

The Assos longSummerGloves are available in the colors Black, Blue, Red, White, and Yellow and in seven sizes from XX-Small to X-Large.
