Lightweight protection for the winter months.

There are only a handful of countries that a hold pedigree of precision, and Switzerland is certainly one of them. Not surprisingly, this is Assos' home turf. And with a heritage that lays claim to Switzerland's most prestigious watchmakers, no one in the cycling apparel market comes close to matching the Assos signature of quality. This is why the LL.Uno_s5 Bib Tights are miles above the competition. With complete fabric exclusivity, and the most thoroughly studied approach to fit in the business, the LL.Uno_s5 is the natural choice for those with discerning taste.

We've all heard the adage 'less is more,' but for Assos, less material actually means more protection. Designed to fit as a second skin, the LL.Uno_s5 bib tights are constructed from the Assos-exclusive, RX fabric. With a fleecy, high inner loft, RX is equally warming in comparison to Assos' RXQ that's used in the LL.607, only without the heightened density and volume. In fact, this comparison constructs the ideology behind the LL.Uno_s5 -- lightweight quality. Throughout the construction, LL.Uno_s5 uses less weighty fabric than its brothers in the Assos lineup. This ensures a high level of breathability that aids in maintaining an even, consistent degree of thermo-regulation. And, as common sense would have it, you'll also remain dryer, which will further your warmth in frosty conditions.

And while we love to talk about the exclusivity and tech-quality of Assos fabrics, what truly sets the LL.Uno_s5 apart is the signature Assos fit. Utilizing what Assos calls its Advanced Ergonomic Patter Design (AEPD) racing cut, the LL.Uno_s5 benefits from the most thought-out designing process in the business. Assos is the first to tell you that high-end materials mean nothing if the cut is bad. That's why it's spent a maddening amount of time on two points of study — how the body is shaped, and how it changes throughout the movements of cycling. Accordingly, the AEPD cut is made for the shape of cycling, not standing (just a little something to remember when you try it on). With the LL.Uno_s5, the cut greets the contours of your body and adds a slight compression to aid in muscle recovery and stabilization. It's worth noting that AEPD achieves this without adding a sensation of pressure. Further along these lines, the leg grippers use a no-pressure elastic. To achieve this gentle grip, Assos integrated them with the fabric of the tights instead of placing them inside the hem. Altogether, the characteristics of AEPD literally make the tights 'click' into place for the ultimate in cycling fit.

For the chamois, the LL.Uno_s5 has been given the Assos exclusive FI.Uno_S5 elastic interface insert. Now, you've probably heard of CyTech's Elastic Interface Technology, but guess who's engineers spearheaded the project? That's right, it was Assos. Designed to follow the body in motion, the FI.Uno_S5 uses a variable density throughout the chamois to support the regions that need the most support, without impacting the ones that don't. The support focus is primarily placed at the perineal, ischial, and gluteal areas — the points most prone to distress from saddle pressure and compression. With its anatomic design, the FI.Uno creates an abrasion-free support that promotes an increased circulation by protecting nerves like the pudendal. Further along these lines, FI.Uno's waffle texture also works to dissipate any buildup heat. Even more impressive, the insert is road-specific. Assos engineers realize that saddles and saddle positions vary throughout different disciplines of cycling, and the insert's chamois density patterns are mindful of the specific pressures of road cycling.

The Assos LL.Uno_s5 Bib Tights are available in the color Black Volkanga and in six sizes from Small to TIR. Please note that these bib tights are part of Assos' Layering System ClimaRange 5, or in English, they're meant for early winter. Assos recommends wearing them in temperature ranges from around 55 to 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
