Assos intermediateHeadband_S7 $48.95
Keep your head comfortable on cooler days in the saddle
By keeping your head cool while you're putting in mileage, the vents on your helmet serve their purpose in the summer. However, as the seasons change, you need less ventilation while you ride. Luckily, the solution to this problem is simple -- keep your head and ears warm with an Assos intermediateHeadband_S7 under your helmet.
In true Assos fashion, the ultrathin, low-volume intermediateHeadband_S7 serves a dual purpose under your skid cap during cooler days in the spring and fall. Made from the lightweight polypropylene and elastane fabrics, the one-piece construction of hollow fibers sits snugly around your head to warm your forehead and ears. Additionally, the seamless, ultra-flat construction minimizes abrasion between the helmet and your skin.
Aside from the warming qualities of the headband, it also an efficient moisture manager. This saves your helmet pads from absorbing moisture on arduous climbs -- moisture that only stands to chill you on the descent. For proclamation of your Assos passion, color contrasting Assos logos are sublimated on the front and back of the headband.
The Assos intermediateHeadband_S7 is available in the colors Black Volkanga and White Panther and in the sizes 0, I, and II.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This headband is fantastic! I actually use it on runs, not rides. I normally wear this when the temperatures are in the 30s. For runs in the 20s and even the upper teens, I will still use this, since it is very very warm and comfortable. I don't think my head is all that big, but I ordered mine in size II, since my fugucap and stinger cap are also in that size. This thing is pretty "tall" I guess you could say... it covers a really good portion of your head... and looks really great while doing so! You can also fold it in half if you want, or in half just in the front (I did that the other night while running during a snowstorm with wind chills in the negative digits!) If I used this on a ride, it would probably be in some unusual situation in some sort of tricky intermediate weather.
