In creating the equipeSocks_evo7, Assos acknowledged that even serious road cyclists need socks that can handle the occasional venture into the dirt and grass. The equipeSocks feature lightweight construction that won't weigh you down on the road combined with strategic reinforcement and support for Autumnal cyclocross excursions or rainy day cross-training.

These socks feature a blended composition of nylon, elastane, and polypropylene. Together, each fiber fulfills a different role, working harmoniously towards a single directive: comfort. The nylon fibers guarantee a light weight, high breathability, and comfort against the skin while elastane is featured for its stretch and conformity. Polypropylene was selected over the standard polyester for both its moisture management and durability, but it's also hydrophobic to the point that it's unable to absorb water and, as a result, spreads moisture out over a larger surface area. This diffusion accelerates evaporation so your feet remain dry. When all combine, the three fibers provide the foot with the ideal interface for interaction with either a running or cycling shoe.

In addition to the varied fiber content, you'll also find that the equipeSocks' construction is different from that of your typical cycling socks. They do feature the commonly seen support band and lighter weight construction over the top of the foot. However, the equipeSocks are thicker than a standard cycling sock in the toe box, along the bottom, and over the heel. Amazingly, this goes unnoticed in the saddle, but it makes all the difference during either a cross' race or while cross-training. Essentially, this added thickness provides the necessary buffer between your foot and shoe to help mitigate the impact of running.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you ride in Assos kit in warm weather, you MUST purchase these Assos socks. Several pairs.

These are my favorite Assos Summer socks by far. The cuff is higher (~9cm) and they are light, thin, very well ventilated top and leg with a reinforced bottom. And the best looking IMO.

They appear and feel like they are made of Meryl Skinlife - the super high-end, soft, wicking textile used by Castelli, Capo, Sportful, Santini, etc. for their top cycling socks.

Anyway, the quality is sublime. Made in Italy. Right/left specific fit. Great fit, function, looks.

I love the white with the thin amethyst (purple) line. It exactly matches the amethyst line on the left leg of the Equipe S7 bibshorts. But also the color (royal purple) of the trim in the T.Cento S7 bibshorts.

Sizing: The sizing chart is correct. I'm a 45.0 in Shimano (321s). And a 45.5 in Sidi. The size II here fit perfect.

What's the cuff length on these?

The cuff length appears to be 9-10 cm. Very typical/popular height in the pro peloton these days.
