Eating dirt is good for your shoes.

Despite your refined demeanor and subtle sophistication, your rock-crunching, trail-thrashing side lurks close to the surface. When it's time to feed the beast and head out for a less civilized tromp in the woods, pull on the Asics Women's GT-2000 2 Trail Running Shoe so your foot won't start to whine before you've reached the mid-way point. Outfitted with the same opulent ride as the GT-2000 2, the Trail's gel cushioning under your feet pads your way over gnarly roots and three unique systems maximize gait efficiency while minimizing pronation.
Open mesh on top gives your foot a kiss of fresh air and minimizes sticky foot sweat. The ComforDry sockliner adds a touch of cushioning and the antimicrobial treatment reduces the chances of your shoes stinking. The Strobel last uses SpEVA 55 for a moderately soft underfoot feel and a boost of cushioning, even over variable ground. The FluidRide midsole takes you for a lightweight and responsive ride, throwing in a bit of bounce to every toe-off.
Control is only a problem for you when you're talking about overpronating, red wine, and deep-fried pickles, though not all at once. Ugh. This trail-hungry monster can't help with the last two issues, but when it comes to minimizing over-pronation, the GT-2000 2 won't let you down (although if you aren't an over-pronator, don't be scared away—this shoe will just add a bit of stability for you). The Dynamic DuoMax, Impact Guidance, and Guidance Trusstic system give this shoe midfoot integrity so the process of moving to your toe isn't unstable, and they offer torsional rigidity to cut down on lateral wiggle room. While this shoe won't change your gait, it will economize your movements and restrict the degree to which your foot and ankle rolls inward. DuraSponge and Asics high-abrasion rubber soles are reverse-lugged for when you're scrambling up scree or racing down mud-slicked trails.
