Strong and fast enough for the Competitive Racing Team.

The Arundel Mandible Water Bottle Cage holds your bottle with two slender arms that create a smaller cross section yet provide up to 40% more bottle-grabbing power than other cages. The Mandible is a design perfectionist's dream: more strength in a smaller package. Arundel offers their minimalist cage with minimalist graphics: No colored decals here.

You can use the Mandible for road, mountain, cross, or triathlon. Arundel knew that their new Mandible cage couldn't be just another fanciful design with a new logo and a crazy name created for the sole purpose of adding another item in their catalog. The Mandible had to work, and work better than anything else available. Not only does the cage design increase holding power, Arundel lightened the structure by adding a foam core to the carbon cage. Most cages simply cut out the center to save weight. Typically, this process exposes the mounting bolts and arm edges and makes it hard to slip a bottle in or out. The Mandible's smooth, three dimensional form leaves nothing for the bottom of a bottle to catch on when you pull it out.

The Arundel Mandible Water Bottle Cage is available in four colors -- Gloss Carbon, Matte Carbon, Oil Slick, and White Out.

  • Carbon fiber
  • Sleek design with minimal graphics

Beautiful and secure.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A slim, yet powerful cage that holds my bottles securely, but doesn't make me fight to get them out. Beautiful industrial design is a plus.

They're Great

Even the biggest pothole won't jar the bottles loose. They cages look great and hold the bottles tight. The quality is second to none.

Impressive cages

When I built up a new bike I had new Zipp cages from a previous purchase for the new steed. Unfortunately, these new Zipps didn't perform as well as the old ones and I began to have bottles launch frequently. Since this can pose a safety issue I began the search for new ones. The Mandible received high marks and with the bonus free bar tape I pulled the trigger. I'm very impressed with the design, style and function and they work! Bottles are snug and I'm 100% confident I will never lose another bottle again. These are excellent.

I have used xlab Gorilla cages for years and then moved on to the zipp cages. I would loose bottles in the zipp cages and the xlab Gorilla cage was always pretty tight. This is the happy medium, super light, never loose a bottle, and easy access. They also appear to be very well made. I have had these on for two years and abused the heck out of them, everything is rock solid. I know 60 bucks is a lot for a cage but they will last and are light weight as well.

You'll never eject another bottle

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used these cages for several years and they do everything they ought to. They securely hold bottles, it's easy to put in or pull out a bottle, they're plenty light, and they've proven to be quite durable across several seasons. As a bonus, they look great too. I wouldn't be willing to try another cage.

Best Cages around

If the Arundel Mandible can handle a year of serious MTB racing, it can handle anything. No dropped bottles...Ever!

Ridiculous but perfect

Yes, it's absurdly expensive. No, it doesn't need to be carbon fiber. Yes, the Tao Tacx will cost 80% less and weigh only 26 grams more for 2 cages. But if you spent a certain amount on your carbon fiber frame, you'll getting these. They are exceptionally well designed--they work wonderfully and hold up well. They do not get all scratched up or look grimy if you take care of them. They clean up well. They look amazing, the design is elegant, minimal and timeless. There are many finishes to match what you have. If you went all-in on your bike, just do this.

Lives up to its name

Gone thru the paces with this cage. Easy to put bottles in and easy to put bottles out. Holds them on like a lock jaw when to road gets rough. Its just nice not having to worry about dropping a bottle and running them over or worse jamming them between the frame and cranks while you're in the zone.

Yes, it's probably the most expensive bottle cage you've seen.

Is it worth it? I think so, let me tell you why.

This work of art is the Ferrari of water bottle cages simply because it's sleek, lightweight, and it performs. Arundel offers the cage in several finishes to match your fancy steed and has minimal gravitational pull due to a minimalist carbon fiber construction. Here's where it gets set apart from the rest: Security. This cage will not drop a bottle no matter what you put it through. I've thoroughly tested this cage on the underside of a downtube through tons of descents littered with rock gardens. Guess what? Still have every filthy bottle. Can't say I've had the same luck with others.

I am actually quite happy with this cage it looks great on my pinarello, it does what is supposed to do holds the bottle nice and tight but very easy to slide in and out.

finishing detail not as expected

...actually I was quite disappointed by the finishing quality of this product. Looked like they had not been through the production finishing stage after molding. arm edges were not straight and and different thicknesses, need some filing to look somewhat decent. Not exactly what I would expect to have to do. I am sure they function okay with their renowned bottle retention but not the finished product that I would expect from this level of product. ...feel like sending them back.

Do you offer a rear mount in this cage of a similar cage. My tri bike has an adamo saddle.

excellent cage

The cages look fantastic and have great retention. Only quip I have is some of the molding material was still attached, and needed to be sanded down.
