Description

Freedom to carry.

The Arundel Looney Bin Bottle Cage offers you freedom to carry pretty much any bottle you want. From bottled water, to your favorite Cabernet, the click wheel adjuster accommodates them all. Sure, you're not likely to see one of these on anyone's pro tour bike any time soon, but then again, cruising to a picnic with a bottle of wine strapped securely to your downtube trumps pro points any day.

The Arundel Looney Bin Bottle Cage is available in one size, and in the color Black.

GOAT IS GOOD

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought the first one for my wife so she could haul her Nalgene 32oz bottle on her commuter bike. I was a little concerned about the plastic and ratcheting operation to secure a bottle but its held up well for several months of use so far. I since purchased a second for my commuter bike and have been rotating Nalgene bottles and 2 slightly hour glass shaped REI branded travel coffee mug/thermos things (2 sizes). This cage holds both of those securely pounding through potholes at speed and hopping curbs occasionally too. I’m sure there are limits to their durability—I’m not sure how they’d hold up on boneshaking mountain bike route and I probably won’t put them to that stress as shorter rides I go sans water and longer ones I’ve got osprey packs and bladder with tools etc., Having done a number of bikepack trips this past year, I am on a quest to get everything off my back for multiple full days in the saddle and I’ve got plans for a looney bin cage on my stem (two fish adapter) to have a bottle close at hand and I’ll just refill it at streams (filtered) and/or from a bladder in my frame pack or 1.5L bottle on the underside of my downtube (Topeak XL Module cage). I’m confident the ratcheting and the gummy rubber grip of the looney bin cage will hold a bottle securely in the horizontal position on my stem…we’ll have to see if it all can take the abuse of bouncing around on a twofish (or possibly top cap) cage mount.

Carry anything!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This a great product from a great company. Not only carries different bottles, but I've stuffed shirts and things things into it for trips to the dry cleaners! Put it on my single speed. Next purchase is a flask "cage" for the other cage mount!
