Whether you're just starting to consider swapping out your traditional kicks for something new, or you've been part of the zero drop club for a while now, Altra gives you plenty to get excited about with the new Torin 2.5 Men's Running Shoe. Rather than overhauling the entire shoe, Altra kept the good stuff in the fit and midsole but upgraded to a new seamless mesh upper. Flexible, airy, and durable, the uppers complement the pronounced V-shaped last that all Altra shoes are built on, which limits pressure points and gives your toes room to splay as much as they'd like with every stride.
Though sleeker than before, the Torin 2.5 returns with the same EVA midsole, complete with grid-like flex grooves, that made it so popular before. This construction gives the shoe a responsive, bouncy feel, backed up by enough cushion to handle long run Sundays. The A-Bound top layer adds an extra bit of spring, while the even stack height throughout the forefoot and heel promotes a more natural midfoot landing on each stride, which in turn can limit impact and encourage healthy form.
