With taller, more widely-spaced knobs, the 45NRTH Vanhelga Tire is the company's offering for those wanting the best possible traction in loose conditions, especially freshly-fallen snow.
The Vanhelga is made with the same dual-compound rubber as the better-known Husker Du tire, featuring harder 52a rubber on the shoulders for better cornering grip and stability, and a softer 60a compound along the center for excellent traction on any surface. There's a strong 60tpi version available, and the light, tough 120tpi casing carries over from the Husker Du, as well, although as mentioned, the Vanhelga gets reinforced for more effective tubeless applications, saving the weight of those heavy fat bike tubes and dramatically reducing the likelihood of having to stop riding due to a puncture. What's also notably different is the more aggressive lugs of the tread pattern. Taller blocks, with traction-enhancing sipes, spaced more widely for deeper penetration into the soft stuff, mean these things assertively grab whatever they roll over, cruising over trails or creating new ones wherever you need them.
