Forward and aft positioning on the bike plays a large role in how much power a rider generates. Although a more relaxed (slacker) position is more comfortable, if you want to generate maximum speed without the discomfort of sitting on the nose of the saddle, try a forward position using the 3T Stylus LTD 0 Seatpost. This post is reminiscent of a traditional 2-bolt seatpost with a neutral -- 0 degree -- setback, clean lines, and weight-minimizing carbon construction.
Unlike the 2-bolt seatposts of yore, this post utilizes bolts set on either side of the cradle, which allows for easier micro adjustments and extra stability. Both the shaft and saddle clamp are monocoque high-modulus carbon fiber and the bolts are steel, making this the lightest seatpost in the Stylus line.
The Stylus 0 places the seat clamp assembly directly in line with the seatpost shaft. This 0 degree of setback is optimal when your frame design has a slacker seat tube: it is lighter in weight as compared to a setback post and shifts your position forward to compensate for your frame design. The 0 degree setback is also ideal if you want a more forward TT position on your already aggressive bike frame to maximize power.
The 3T Stylus LTD 0 Seatpost is available in 27.2mm or 31.6mm diameters and 280mm, 350mm or 420mm lengths. The post is available in Gloss Black and weighs roughly 140g (31.6mm x 280mm).
