The 3T Ionic 25 Team Stealth seatpost packs the performance you need with muted graphics that keep you off the baddies’ pre-race radar. This carbon post is lightweight, stiff, and features 3T's easily adjustable Difflock seat clamp.

The Ionic 25 Team was constructed from a combination of carbon and alloy. The post itself is carbon fiber. This provides a stiff platform for your saddle that also dampens road chatter to make your ride more comfortable. The setback is 25mm, which gives riders a more relaxed position and is also an ideal compromise on a frame with a more aggressive seat tube angle. Sitting on top of the post is 3T's Difflock saddle clamp. This is a single bolt clamp that allows for quick and easy adjustment of both saddle angle and fore-aft position. The hex key is easy to reach, and you're able to adjust for setback without disrupting seat angle.

An excellent seatpost

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I don't understand all the hate directed at this seatpost. Provided you have the correct, compatible seat rails (duh) and a shred of patience to set this up, it'll work beautifully. I have a Selle SMP Drakon with round rails and my set-up has been 100% creak free and solid for the last 3,000 miles of use and going strong. It looks beautiful in the stealth finish and the design is sleek, simple and elegant. What more could you ask for?

Poorly Designed Clamp system

After struggling to install, nearly impossible to set, I found that the problem is my (brand new) Selle Italia SLR titanium saddle has rails that are slightly (.5mm) oversized. For most seatpost clamps, this is inconsequential, but 3Ts difflock system makes the rail diameter critical. So took me over an hour to get the saddle level enough to ride, dont think i have enough patience to get it fully level. Next problem: it started to creak after about 200 miles. Too hard to get the thing apart to grease it. I will be replacing it soon after less than 700 miles. Very disappointing.

    Hate Hate HATE this seatpost!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

OK- I guess that's a lot of anger directed toward a seatpost, but the design and function of this post are shite. A seatpost has a pretty simple job... quietly hold your seat EXACTLY where you want it. I like the looks, weight and price of this post. That's why I bought it. Now I'm so annoyed that I have completely given up on it. The adjustment of the saddle angle is very limited because of the goofy mechanism. The noise coming from this thing is unbearable!! It is impossible to eliminate to constant creaks and clicks as your weight shifts on the saddle. I tried grease and carbon paste, but nothing has worked. CC, can I return this after 5 months? Do yourself a favor and buy a post with a standard, foolproof, 2 bolt fore/aft adjustment.

    Seems Well Built

Bought the 31.6mm to gain offset on the factory straight post on my Trek Stache 9, which has a pretty shallow seat tube angle. So leveling a seat post with two bolt systems proved a challenge. Hoping the cylinder approach with this works.
