Hang On

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I recently bought a entry level Fat Bike and it had a crazy small handle bar. With this bar on such a good sale, it was a no brainer, the width I wanted with almost zero weight. I have ridden the trail a number of times with it now and I decided to go ahead and pick another one up for my normal hardtail mountain bike. I have yet to find the perfect rotation on them but I have not changed their angle too much from initial install. I look forward to getting a lot of miles out of these bars and improving my novice abilities on the trail.

Wider bar

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Nice bar for a 29er. Not for everyone but if you use a short stem can mitigate wide and angle

A very unique bar

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

These bars have a very radical 12 degree sweep, much like the Big Sweep found on earlier Trek Superflys. I run a 9 degree now but always sense some discomfort over time and feel like my wrists want to rotate further inward. I thought this bar might alleviate the problem. The problem here is that because of the offset, combined with the big sweep, the grip position is significantly further inward, thus shortening the reach by a couple of centimeters at least. I would have loved to mount these bars and test them, but because I was fearful I would like them, I chose not to and instead returned them, rather than mar their finish. This is a quality product with beautiful aesthetics--if they work for you.
