Ergoterra Team Handlebar

We've heard it said that cyclocross is medieval in nature, and we're inclined to agree. There's something about racing glorified road bikes on grass, usually in atrocious weather, that brings out all that's barbaric in otherwise civilized people. But just because 'cross teases out our most primal instincts doesn't mean that the associated equipment should be anything less than cutting-edge. Such is the case with the 3T Ergoterra Team Handlebar. The bar was built from carbon fiber and is backed by a half century of racing heritage, with every last detail having been sweated to ensure that in the heat of battle, you can focus on clearing barriers and ripping through turns, instead of thinking about your hand position.

When designing the perfect 'cross handlebar, 3T started with its ever-popular Ergonova shape, which mates a shallow drop to a slightly longer reach. To enhance the control in the drops, a generous six degrees of flare were added to the drops, which results in the bottom of the hooks being 3cm wider than they are at the hoods. Unlike the Ergonova, the tops of the bars are round and reinforced for use with 'cross levers.

3T built the Ergoterra Team handlebar out of carbon fiber, which keeps the weight right at 200 grams for the 45cm version. And despite the feathery weight, it's a proven performer on the battlefield that is cyclocross racing.

The 3T Ergoterra Team Handlebar is available in two sizes from 45 to 47cm and in the color Stealth. Please note: Unlike other 3T handlebars, the Ergoterra is measured at the bottom of the flared drops. At the hoods, the 45cm and 47cm sizes measure 42cm and 44cm, respectively.
