3T ARX II Team Stem $109.99
A classic, redefined.
Launched in 2007, the original 3T ARX stem appears on virtually every genre of bike from road to mountain. A strong, versatile stem, the ARX doesn't fall prey to gimmicks. Now, the evolution of the popular ARX stem takes form in the ARX II Team. It takes the classic, tubular design of the ARX and sculpts it with slightly flattened sides and a refined faceplate.
The ARX II Team stem's faceplate crimps in tighter at the top and bottom, which results in an ovalized appearance. However, even with the new shape, 3T was still able to retain its hallmark cut-out logo. This generation of the ARX also sees a more precise installation process. Instead of a traditional four-bolt Allen assembly, the ARX II features a Torx assembly at the faceplate and a single M6 bolt to clamp the stem to the steerer.
The 3T ARX II Team Stem comes in 10mm increments from 70 to120mm. Each length is also offered in 6 and 17 degree rise angles, and in the colors Stealth and Black Anodized. Please note that this stem features a 40mm stack height, and that it weighs in around 120 grams in 110mm length.

Why Torx bolts????
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Stem looks nice and seems to function just as well as the other 3T ARX I have had (six of them), which means great.
BUT why make the stem with Torx Bolts??? This takes away from the convenience of the previous version which only required the rider to carry a 4mm hex to fix roadside. I am replacing all the bolts with Hex heads. BTW, the steerer bolt is not M6, it is M7x16. Good luck find a replacement
