Description

Thermal and waterproof winter tights.

If you aren't one to let seasonal changes throw off your training regimen, the 2XU Sub Zero Bib Tights will provide the warmth and protection against the elements that you need to brave the cold while also maintaining race shape in the off-season. Though the 14-degree temperature rating of these winter tights is key, 2XU also made them waterproof in order to keep road spray and snow melt from forcing you to end your ride early.

Velo ProLite fabric was used throughout the tights in order to keep you comfortable well below 30 degrees Fahrenheit. This soft, fleece-like material has a low-pile inner face that retains body warmth in the brushed fiber. It's tightly woven with a nylon/elastane blend for durability and works in tandem with the XStretch membrane to move with your body. This way, your movements don't feel constrained while in the saddle.

The Sub Zero also uses the proprietary 2XU 5:10 XStretch membrane throughout the tights for breathable, waterproof protection against snow melt on the roads. The membrane also allows moisture vapors to evaporate through the fabric, while also blocking water from coming in.

The tights use Sensor Mesh for the bib straps. This thin, breathable material pulls moisture away from your skin so you aren't left with a cold and wet layer right next to your body. Foot straps are used in place of an elastic gripper on the bottom hem in order to keep the legs from riding up. These straps are more conducive to long distance riding, since nothing is cinched around your ankle to interfere with circulation.

2XU utilized the best Italian chamois materials for the Sub Zero bib tights. The Fusion Pro chamois uses varied cushion densities throughout the multiple layers of thin, perforated foam in order to provide support where you need it most — like under your sit bones. It then tapers down towards your perineal area, where less padding is required. The chamois is finished with a soft microfiber top-sheet that sits comfortably next to your skin, while also moving moisture away for evaporation.

The 2XU Sub Zero Bib Tights are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.

Cheap materials

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have only try this bib once and the materials or fabrics is so cheaply made. After one ride, the bottom has started to worn out.

Not Waterproof at all!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wore them in the thirties and were cold, not worth the money.
