On the face of it, a triathlon is a pretty simple endeavor: just run, bike, and swim faster than everybody else. When you get down to the nuts and bolts, though, it gets a little tougher. 2XU's spent years building gear to make the tri life easier, better, and faster, and the Elite Men's Compression Tri Shorts are its top-of-the-line offering, designed to get you through all three stages without having to worry about your gear
The Elite is made primarily of 2XU's 150D/CK fabric, a high-stretch blend with graduated compression from above your knees to your waist to support muscles, improve circulation, and reduce lactic acid build-up. This helps keep you fresh and strong, even when you're deep into a race, and works equally well during the swim, the ride, and the run. The Elites also incorporate Ice X2 CT fabric to help you stay cool and comfortable. Ice X2 CT's unique design combines exceptional moisture management and breathability with active cooling, keeping your skin up to five degrees cooler than it would otherwise be.
The small details matter, too, and 2XU made sure all the essentials were included. The Elite has two angled rear pockets for easy access to gels and tabs, a seamless gripper to keep the legs in place without pinching, and a Memory Tech LD chamois that offers three times the support of a traditional tri insert in a lightweight and quick-drying package that's comfortable on the bike and unobtrusive elsewhere.
