Description

Increased muscle support and circulation will help you achieve your personal best.

2XU’s 70 denier Circular Knit Fabric gives the Compression Leggings 15% more support and 25% more power enhancement than typical compression garments offer. This adds up to higher endurance, fewer injuries, and faster recovery times. By delivering heightened pressure to the lower leg, the recovery legging reduces the onset of delayed muscle soreness by increasing blood circulation and supporting the leg muscles during recovery. Prior to a long ride or race, the legging increases blood circulation and oxygenation of the muscles, making it a warm-up must. When worn during travel, the Compression Leggings promote circulation and prevent muscle degradation due to inactivity, so you arrive at your event ready to set a personal best.

Great for recovery

I prefer these over the compression pants - they are really tight but extra comfy once you get them on and the recovery benefits are unbeatable. I've also worn them while driving and sleeping - they are the best. The only issue I have had is that the tops will occasionally roll down the leg - not a big deal.

Can these be worn during rides? Are there any unwanted side effects for doing so?

Can't live without them

Once you start using the compression leggings post ride, it's hard to imagine that you went all this time without them. The shorter recovery time is a huge benefit. I wear them after every ride and wake up the next day feeling like I didn't even ride the day before...well, most of the time. Sizing wise, I measured out between a large and a medium (closer to large on the chart). I ended up buying the medium and they fit perfectly. The length is not an issue (I'm 6-feet tall for reference).

Nice Option

These tights along with the compression socks are a perfect set to cover every thing you need for compression. You can were both at the same time or just wear the socks if your just doing a shop trip.

2XU Compression Leggings

I probably spend 50% of my life wearing these things since I got them! They are just brilliant. I wear them as soon as I get off the bike (training or racing), all the time during travel, and in the morning before races too. Sometimes, if my legs are really fatigued, I will sleep in them too.
These leggings are probably my most used accessory right now. They really help aid recovery, and make your legs feel good! The best way I could describe it, is as though you lie down, and put your legs up the wall. You will have to get some of these to know what I mean, it will be money VERY well spent!

Which do you recommend the leggings or the compression socks?

Responded on

I currently have both. I use my leggings for after races more and my socks for travel. Hope that helped!

I have a more up to date answer for you after speaking with 2xu direct, and they recommend actually wearing both together . This will allow you to help push blood from your feet up through your legs.

Responded on

I also suggest wearing both together, I did it after training yesterday, and today it felt like I didn't even ride yesterday.
I feel that during car travel the socks are easier, but after training I have been wearing the leggings. If I were doing an International flight, or across the country, I would definitely recommend wearing both together, just as Mike suggested...

I have some new information for you too. It seems as though the socks are the current trend in the RealCyclist.com Pro Cycling team. We met up with each other last night to play some pool, and without plans, every rider on the team was wearing the 2XU compression socks under their clothes.
We even have photographic evidence!

Great recovery tool

Super breathable and comfortable under jeans or pants for travel. They hold there compression for a long time even after a ton of use. I would definitely recommend these for someone who is looking to optimize there recovery.

What size should a woman size medium order?

Thanx

Responded on

Kathy....I would error on the smaller size with the leggings. I ordered a size medium and I'm 6-feet tall with measurements suggesting somewhere between the large and medium (closer to large on sizing chart above) and I went smaller. The leggings are plenty long and fit perfectly. I suggest sizing down if you are unsure. Hope that helps.

Sizing Chart

This is the sizing chart specific to 2XU compression leggings directly from the 2XU website. Much better than what was on the copy.

Sorry I just saw this chart. This should answer my question.
Thanks again.
