The protectors.

In Ride 100%'s glove lineup, there is one clear pair that stands out as The Protectors, and those are the Simi Gloves. The single-layer perforated Clarino palm is comfortable and provides excellent tactility, but the backing of the glove is what sets these gloves apart from the others. The perforated leather is endowed with Poron padding, a special material that hardens in the event of impact, but stays compliant and flexible at all other times. The oversized hook-and-loop cuff closure doubles as palm padding. Silicone palm graphics enhance grip when you need it, and the integrated Tech Thread stitching on the tips of the thumb and index finger are touchscreen friendly.

My go to glove

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Medium

I usually get a lot of free gloves working in the bike industry, and never really need to pay for them in order to stay safe and save my hands. That being said, I ponied up for these since they are the best gloves I have ever used.

No padding on the palm, great padding on the back of the hand should you get stuck in a tight tree section with modern wide handlebars. Materials and finish are top notch. The one thing I would say that is a little annoying is they tend to fit a bit large, and they do break in. I normally get a large in most gloves and I had to size down to a medium in these.

Comfort and durability

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

The gloves are awesome! The fingers are well protected from schwack while riding and a durable palm holds to grips like glue. The velcro closure is large which helps with the durability of the closure for seasons to come. Despite the protection and durability they breathe well. Even in the desert they never seem to get too hot, but this might just be me.

Solid glove

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I usually like a thicker padded glove for downhill endeavors for added protection, but I'm spending a lot of time on the trail bike these days and I don't need all that bulk. These gloves seem to be a good middle ground between an armored glove and a barely-there glove. They seem to actually breath pretty well too. The finger grips on the bottom of my braking fingers were entirely gone after a single [fairly rough] 20 mile ride, but that's really no surprise. I got mediums and they were pretty snug at first, but quickly stretched just enough to fit perfectly.

All Around Durable Glove

  • Fit: True to size

I got these for my man, and they seem to do the trick. He used to have the basic POC full-finger gloves, which worked great as a basic glove but didn't offer too much protection and tore pretty easily. In come the Simi Gloves- great padding without being absurdly bulky (especially on the outter palm area), and the openings on the fingers are great to allow for more dexterity. Super solid velcro closure too, so you don't have to worry about these bad boys going anywhere. Plus, they're really sticky too! Sizing seems pretty standard, he typically wears a size L in ski/bike gloves, and the Large works really well in these. All in all, they're holding up really well after a couple months of riding, definitely would recommend for a good basic lightly padded glove!

Love it

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: medium

Great gloves, very breathable, with a strong gripping material on the palms. The padding is nice because its soft enough that it doesn't make it difficult to grip like some other gloves with harder pads do. Run a little bit small, I usually wear a large glove and these fit me better in the medium.
