A different experience

I saw the one, very negative, review of these shorts and thought I should share my very different experience. I own three pair of these shorts and they are by far my all-time favorites and I've been pretty obsessed with finding a short I like. They're very lightweight, have some stretch and are more fitted than baggy. They fabric moves and breathes, the pockets are very low profile and the Boa closure functions well. Last Fall I had the worst crash in my 30+ years of riding. I flew about 60 feet down a jumbled mess of rocks in Vermont. When my friends picked me up I was a mess and one of the injuries was the biggest bruise I've ever had on my hip. A friend said I hit an 18 inch diameter rock with my hip and moved it 4 feet down the slope. The shorts were unscathed! Now to qualify things, the rock I hit was more rounded and there wasn't really any gravel on this forested slope so I can't speak to how the shorts might hold up to a fall in, say, Sedona or Moab, but they've been great for me in terms of comfort and I have zero complaints on the durability so far. The fabric is thin so I'm sure tears are very possible but I've been really happy with my Celiums. As for the previous review on the company, I can't speak to that and it's disheartening to read that the customer service was so poor. Hard to support brands that don't take care of their customers. Hope 100% pays attention and improves in that area. If you're going to sell $130 shell shorts you'd better support the product right.
